The Beginning of an Era

Camille Mickillip is just another example of how the freshman                                                                                 are on to something great this school year. Starting your first                                                                                    year of high school isn’t always easy, but the freshman are                                                                                       pushing through. With so many new faces on campus, San Tan is                                                                       looking greater than ever. Freshman Student of the Quarter,                                                                                   Camille, says when she was younger she pictured herself as a                                                                                 teacher and she still wants to pursue that career. Certainly                                                                                     teaching others is one of her callings. Camille tells us                                                                   of her proudest accomplishment. She says it began with,                                                                                           “When I received ‘Leader of the year’ at Walker Butte.” Camille has                                                                           certainly proved herself to be a great leader. Besides loving                                                                                     leadership, Camille says she likes to listen to her favorite band 5                                                                     Seconds of Summer. She says they are her favorite because,                                                                                 “They are very nice and kind and love making people happy.”

Her favorite song by them is called “18.” What you also didn’t

know about Camille is her passion for school. She says her perfect

day begins with, “When I wake up and I feel excited when there is so much fun stuff at school, like homecoming.” When asked why she thought she was chosen as freshman student of the quarter she said she thinks she was picked because, “I am kind, nice, and a good student.” Camille is definitely right about that.

 

To conclude, Camille tells us how she wants people to remember her by her personality. Getting to know Camille was certainly a learning experience. Knowing more about your peers around campus gives us a better understanding of each other and helps us to the realize that we all want one thing, success. Thank you, Camille for being a true example of what a Sabercat leader really is.
