In order to boost school spirit and get students hyped about making a difference San Tan Foothills High School kicked off the school year by having a Welcome Back dance on August 12th.The Welcome Back dance was “glow in the dark” themed and it took Student Council about two hours to decorate the small gym for this dance.

The dance was a huge success and around 250 students came. There were black lights, glow sticks, balloons, strobing lights, and there was a great DJ there. Many students said they had a blast and there was so much positive feedback. The number of students that came was also a great accomplishment because in previous year San Tan Foothills students did not feel motivated and did not want to go to the school dances.

Dr. Richard’s hard work and dedication to making this school great is really paying off.  Anyone can see that things are getting better and will continue improving from here on!
