Going to GCU is Just What You Should Do

-Marlene Leon-

The feeling of intimidation comes to mind when speaking about colleges. I’m a Sophmore and I already felt the fury of a well know University right here in Arizona. Grand Canyon University is known for its excellence in its nursing program and engineering program. It also carries many benefits, you have one of three ways to get accepted in GCU 1: Have a GPA of a 3.0 or get 19 or higher on your ACT or a 920 or higher on your SAT test. Also when researching colleges GCU comes up as a Christian college, great thing about that it is that they don’t require their students to be in any way religious. Although they do provide chapels in the boundaries of their school.

However, Lynnsey Arant and Angelica Mesa shared the same views about the college, Lynnsey mentioned that one major reason for attending the trip was to see their Culinary Arts program and its progression. Although we didn’t see the program itself, she was well impressed with the tour of the campus. While we were touring the campus, in some way they both felt apart of being a student there. With that being said Lynnsey states she is highly considering GCU as a permanent college for her. The college provides a high variety of programs to join to lead you in the right direction for your future career.

The university currently carries more than 19,000 students on campus with the additional 60,000 students on-line, which equals to about more than 75,000 students in total. If that amount doesn’t prove to you that GCU means business then I’m not sure what will. But what I can tell you is that GCU accepts all, they are always considering expanding their programs and also making new ones. I know right now that they are currently in the process of creating another building. They also want to create a fun environment for their students, in campus, which is why they lead to the decision of creation a bowling alley. They charge $.10 a student to play.

Grand Canyon University was what I was looking for in a college, it gave me the insight of acceptance and warmth. And I believe that’s what people are looking for in a college to not only have a place of study, but also a place of connection, acceptance, and greatness<< does that remind you on any school in particular? My overall review of the school was spectacular, if given the opportunity to join their campus as a student I definitely would, and so should you.
