Winter With a Crowd

- Camille McKillip

As we came back from our nice 3 weeks of break, we had some fun events happening towards the end of the January. One of them being our winter assembly. We had many cool activities, acts, and music. Some of the fun things that happened was we had our high school partner, Poston Butte’s cheer team and dance crew perform. Their cheerleaders worked with ours to put on an amazing performance and you could tell they worked really hard to make the whole routine possible. The dance crews were just as spectacular and all of their hard work on their routines paid off. It was an honor getting to witness the cheer and dance teams combine to do what they do best!

---There was also our renowned roll call, and the Freshman took the Spirit Stick Prize.---

Next came the games. Some games we played were, “Don't forget the lyrics” and we even tackled the mannequin challenge as a whole school. At the end of all the excitement, Dr. Richards said a few words and announced the winners of the Principal’s Essay on why San Tan Foothills is, “A Place For Greatness.” Overall, we had a great time, the energy was positive, fun, and uplifting and the students are proud of Student Council for putting on such great assembly!
