Not many people realize that they have the strength and star qualities of an excelling student. Madison Davis is just one of the many Freshman on campus that is making a difference. To get to know her a little better, our Journalism Team asked her some questions that revealed some unique traits about her. Three words Madison would use to describe herself are supportive, smart, and respectful. All of these words perfectly describe her if you know her in person! As a kid, she said that she wanted to be a teacher because she liked kids and thought it would be exciting. Surely, if she were a teacher she would be able to see just how smart and talented kids can truly be. Something she should really be proud of is an accomplishment she shared with us, she said, “My proudest accomplishment is when I was able to raise 100 dollars for a little girl named London who had to have heart surgery.” Madison is truly making an impact inside and outside of school.
To wrap it up, Madison told us how she wanted to be remembered, she said, “I want to be remembered for being different for standing up for myself.” You will definitely be remembered this way Madison and for much more!
Another excelling student here on campus that should be recognized is Noah Vanlandingham. Noah is a Freshman who would describe himself as sympathetic, intelligent, and hardworking. All of these words describe a star student who works hard to do their best. An interesting fact about Noah is that if he could fly anywhere for free he would go to Germany and visit relatives that he has never seen before. When he is not dreaming of a free trip to Germany he is listening to his favorite band, AC/DC. He told us they are his favorite band because, “that is what my dad played around the house when I was small, but my favorite song is, “Best day of my life” by American Authors because it inspires me to do my best and try to stay positive.” Songs that help people to stay positive are always the best. The most unbelievable things happen to people everyday. Noah explained a time when something unbelievable happened to him, he said, “The most unbelievable thing that happened to me was when I was on a trampoline, I fell off, and I tore out a chunk of my tissue in my leg.” Ouch!
In the end, we got to learn some interesting things about Noah and also give him some recognition for being an excelling Student of the Quarter at San Tan Foothills. To leave us with something to hold onto he told us how he wants to be remembered, he stated, “I want to be remembered for being a kind and enthusiastic person that worked hard at what he did.” Thank you Noah!
