This year’s wrestling team is coached by Mr. Williams. The team is full of very devoted wrestlers. There are some newcomers to the wrestling team, but they are just as devoted to succeed and do the best that they can as the others. The senior captains are Sydney Freund, Cody Lewis, and Pablo Garcia. Both Sydney and Cody have been wrestling for a while, Sydney for 13 years and Cody since his freshman year. Both of these great wrestlers have some very different, “best accomplishments.” Cody says that his biggest accomplishment in wrestling so far has been making it to state in sophomore year, while Sydney's has been making boys cry.

          When asked what they want to improve in, Sydney said consistency and Cody said speed. One of the newer wrestlers, JJ. James, along with the others are very devoted. He says his father inspired him to join wrestling. Most of the team’s goals are to place at state this year. Like most of the team, wrestling is their biggest passion. Antonio Rovella, mostly known as Rocco says that wrestling is his passion. It’s one of the sports he’s best at and he’s been doing it for so long that it’s become a really big part of his life.

The farthest the most of them want to get is the Olympics. They recently just had a wrestling tournament and some of the wrestlers placed! So far they have been doing a great job and we can’t wait to see what they have in store!
